On February 26, 2006, Jeff Gordon made "waves" at California Speedway behind the wheel of a #24 DuPont Chevrolet featuring a signature paint scheme from award-winning car designer Chip Foose. According to Foose, the #24 DuPont/Heat Waves & Flames Chevrolet design was inspired by the look of searing asphalt. DuPont's high-performance Hot Hues line of specialty colors and finishes was used to create the dramatic paint scheme. Gordon finished 13th in the race. This is a diecast collectible replica of that car which he also raced to a 16th place finish at the Brickyard on August 6th.
