Some of the hottest names in music and NASCAR team up for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series. Combining superior racing with popular rock 'n' roll artists makes this event one of the most exciting for both racing and music fans. The alternative/punk revivalist band Green Day has been gaining momentum since their first album "Dookie" debuted in 1994.  This is a diecast replica of a special Green Day paint scheme Brian Vickers raced in the Chevy Rock 'n' Roll 400 in Richmond on September 10, 2005.

Vickers started 22nd with the car too tight in the center of the turns. Crew chief Lance McGrew made a wise decision to bring Vickers to pit road on lap 116 while he was running 14th.   When the green flag waved again on lap 118, Vickers was 15th when he began moving toward the front.  By the time the fourth yellow flag waved on lap 142, the #25 Chevrolet had moved into eighth. The team elected to pit for four tires and fuel during a caution period that followed.  As Vickers exited his pit stall, the #20 entry of Tony Stewart, one pit in front of Vickers, was also leaving his pit.  The two made contact, causing damage to the left-front area of the #25 Chevrolet.  As Vickers rode around during the caution laps, the team tried surveying the damage, but all appeared to be acceptable-- that is until racing resumed.

Vickers restarted 12th after the incident on pit road and immediately began to lose positions on the track. As Vickers began his slide, the #25 Chevrolet began to display whispers of smoke and the car continued to get tighter and tighter with each passing lap.

When the race was all over, Vickers wound up 37th, the lowest finish for the team since finishing 41st at Michigan International Speedway in June 2005.  The result dropped the GMAC Racing team one position in the point standings.
