This is a diecast of the Stars and Stripes car that Dale Earnhardt Jr drove at the Pepsi 400 on July 7, 2007, the last race for this car at a superspeedway. The #8 car was hit from behind in a chain reaction crash resulting from the Denny Hamlin vs. Tony Stewart incident on lap 14, then on lap 131 he was involved in another mulitcar crash. He finished in 36th, but kept his 12th place standing in the Chase for the Cup.
