This diecast of the #11 FedEx Express commemorates Denny Hamilin's fantastic 2006 Nascar Nextel Cup season with the Raybestos' Rookie of the Year official logo added to the decklid. It was Hamlin's first full season in the Nascar Nextel Cup competition. He started the season by scoring a huge upset by beating all 2005 pole winners in his first restrictor plate race as a Nexel Cup driver, the 70-lap 2006 Budweiser Shootout. Hamlin became the first ever Rookie of the Year candidate to take home the Shootout victory. He finished the season by winning the Raybestos Rookie of the Year award and finishing 3rd in the Nextel Cup, while also driving the full season for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Busch Series.
