On July 2, 2005 at the Daytona International Speedway, Jeff Gordon along with sponsors Pepsi and DuPont raced under the lights for the Pepsi 400. Gordon raced this Pepsi paint scheme at the "Mid-Summer Classic" featuring both the DuPont and Pepsi graphics. Gordon finished 7th in the race. For the 2005 season, Gordon ranked 11th earning two poles with 36 starts, four wins, eight top five finishes and 14 top ten finishes.

This diecast is of Jimmie Johnson's Lowes/Power of Pride paint scheme from 2003. In May 2003 he raced this car at the Charlotte Motorspeedway, winning the Winston Select and taking home the million dollar prize.
